Art Work

Peter's present instrument of communication include photography and painting often mixed. Exploiting a wide variety of medium with an interesting use of light and resin. He has been moving towards back lit images blurring the line between printing and projection and is presently working on installations incorporating lightbox floor images.

Portraits

Portraits are normally carried out working from photographs, this can be done from one of your favorites or the artist can take photos of you if that is prefered normally this will be done at his studio by appointment, (click here for contact details), or home visits can be arranged. Biography

Peter Lawson’s art is all about the human mass. Looking into emotions, reactions how outside influences effect us. A series of his early works used sheep to show how we follow the crowd whatever the consequence. How little we like change.

His newer work all revolve around water flowing, following, finding the easiest root, sometimes unexpected. Discovering beauty and power along the way. It can cause destruction but is also the elixir of life (all life needs some form of liquid water to exist). He uses reflection to look at ourselves, and look deeper in to see the beauty. Flooding to describe overbearing and domination. The destruction, while still being our life’s blood. The power and the ability to rise up and overwhelm. To follow blindly even if it is the wrong direction, and having to follow the rules.

Peter Lawson was born in London in 1966, he studied art at Reigate art college and has gone on to exhibit both Nationally and internationally in both solo and group exhibitions in Holland, Switzerland an The UK.

The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order, subject to confirmation of your order by ourselves. All items ordered from Peter Lawson shall be sent to you via the Royal Mail or another secure courier service. We shall endeavour to deliver unframed editions within the UK within 14 days after receiving payment from you and all other countries within 21 days of receiving your payment or within such other period indicated at the time you place your order.

A SIGNATURE WILL BE REQUIRED ON DELIVERY OF ALL  MERCHANDISE. Receipt of a signature at the delivery address for any merchandise ordered by you shall be proof that the order has been delivered to you. Every effort will be made to deliver the goods within the time periods specified above. If we are unable to deliver the goods within 30 days of receiving your order, we will inform you as soon as possible and you will be entitled to cancel the order and obtain a refund or re-credit for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from you credit card for the goods. Peter Lawson will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. You will become the owner of the goods you will be ordered and responsible for risk of loss or damage to them once they have been delivered to you.

The goods must be returned to Peter Lawson by registered post. Peter Lawson will not be liable for losses relating to any business (such as lost profits or consequential loss) which arise from any failure by us to supply the goods in accordance with the contract. we shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations under these terms of sale if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
